Visitors are drawn to Humble’s Mercer Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, which are named after Thelma and Charles Mercer and situated in Houston. These gardens offer free entrance on a daily basis and span 250 acres of property along Cypress Creek.
Even though 14.5 acres of the land once belonged to the Mercers, who used it for their home and garden, the area has since been purchased by Harris County and expanded to include a number of well-maintained hiking trails, a butterfly house, restroom facilities, and picnic areas. Although the Mercers used the land for their home and garden, Harris County now owns the land.
The locally renowned arboretum and botanical garden is recognized on a national level, and it houses the most extensive collection of both wild and cultivated species in the area. There are numerous things to see and do here, but some of the highlights include orchid trees, brilliant pink camellias, uncommon camphor daisies, and native dogwood trees. Bring a lunch with you and spend the afternoon trying to locate colorful birds such as Pine Warblers, Black-capped Chikadees, and Cardinals as they fly through the air.
American Air Ducts offer its services in Houston. They also do commercial air ducts cleaning. You can reach them at any time at 866-373-3828.
